Manousheh on Grand Street is absolutely the best. All of the food is so good, especially with their sumac sauce. Everyone who works there is so warm and quickly remembered my name and face as a regular. I come here at least twice a week, sitting to do work and relax. I highly recommend!!
This place is just awesome! The food is amazing! Very tasty! Never disappoints every other time I come in. The Arabic music is definitely a big plus! (Love when they play the oldies ;-) ) The service is also very good. They are always very welcoming and answer questions about the menu whenever needed.
Great value for money for food that is reminiscent of the Lebanese "street-food" I've grown up having from bakeries in Dubai. The pita/lavash bread is crispy and a perfect vehicle for the toppings of which we got Za'atar and Meat. The order comes straight out of a wood/coal fired oven and is a fresh, nourishing treat with fabulous Middle-Eastern aromas and flavors. Intrigued by my first time experience and can see myself returning to try more- like their Chicken Shawarma sort of wrap next.
I love this place's vegetarian options. It's really affordable too. Will be coming back again (and check out the location in Soho as well). I also love the space - huge! Great for working offline too. The options are excellent! A flatbread wrap here is like a foot long subway sandwich
If your willing to try sinething different and explore your taste buds then by all means come here! This was the first time I've ever tried Lebanese food in my life and I'm so happy I did. The food is just different in a good way. The interior of this place is very clean. It's the type of place where you walk in, order one thing, and spend a couple hours there lol. That's the vibe I got when I went inside. They also have outdoor dining. You order your food at the register and it's brought to you if your dining in. The people are nice and they're very helpful especially if your a first timer and don't know what to get. The food was DELICIOUS and I like that you can serve yourself water there. I ended up spending only about $14 after tax at this place.
The food and service are nearly unbeatable. The first time I tried Manousheh Grand, I came for happy hour and got a mini kishek manousheh and the fatayer in a 2-for-1 deal for just $3. They truly hit the spot--and even my toddler was a fan! The second time, I dragged my husband so I could try more dishes. We ordered two large manoushehs--the sujuk bi ajine, which has beef sausage, tomato, garlic, onion, and red wine, as well as cheese (they were nice enough to give me half akkawi and kashkawan). Both were incredibly delicious and substantial. They definitely do not skimp on the filling if you order the large ones. In addition, we got the ashta merry cream. This was so heavenly and had the perfect balance in the rosewater flavor. It was a fine finish to a wonderful meal. The service is so warm and kind. The manoushehs are made fresh to order, but are well worth the wait. The interior is also lovely with ample seating indoors and outdoors. Best to go with one or more people to try more items on the diverse menu.
I'm absolutely obsessed with Manousheh - you have to come here if you're a fan of Mediterranean flavors and looking for Lebanese food. The cocktail monousheh was delicious. Super filling especially paired with different dips. I got a side of the hummus, labneh, and muhammara. All 100% needed since it provided the Manousheh some moisture and added flavor. Don't skip out on the sides! They make the Manousheh.
The minute I tasted the zaatar manoushe, I felt like I was back in Beirut, on bliss street right by International College (IC) (my alma matter) sipping on pineapple bonjus and devouring that same manoushe. If this isn't an indication of how authentic this restaurant is, then I don't know what is. We made sure to have this restaurant on our NYC trip itinerary at least 3 times. If you really want to have breakfast or lunch like a TRUE Lebanese, then this is the right place for you. That being said, my family and I ended up trying each manoushe they offered and we'll do it again. No regrets. The labne is one of my other favorite mnekeesh that the restaurant offers. The authenticity of the Labne is mind blowing. Lebanese Labne is very hard to imitate because it has the perfect balance between sweet and sour, and if you add just 1% more sugar, it automatically turns into Turkish Labne. I wanted to buy a pint to take home with me on our last day but the employee told me that they don't sell that. Bummer, I'd even order online if I can. The kishik was perfect - onion tomato goodness. Every single manoushe we tried was basically better than the other, so I highly recommend you try them all - trust me, it's so worth it. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully with a bunch of items all around the restaurant to remind every Lebanese expat of their lucky childhood and share our beautiful culture with everyone else. There's even novels that describe every day life as a Lebanese and they're hilariously accurate. Lots of cute merch for sale also! Till next time!
